Scientific Committee

The Syrian Flora Online initiative is moving today into a more solid form with the establishment of a scientific committee to supervise and review the data published on the initiative’s website.

The scientific committee is working to continue updating the taxonomic data of the plants' species recorded in Syria, considering as a baseline the content of Paul Mouterde’s Nouvelle flore du Liban et de la Syrie, and linking it with the taxonomic updates provided byhttps://powo.science.kew.org/, in addition to comparing it with https://www.gbif.org/species/search and https://europlusmed.org/.
